Maple Glazed Chicken with Crispy Bacon
👉Ingredients:
🔸️4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
🔸️Salt and black pepper to taste
🔸️1 tablespoon olive oil
🔸️6 slices bacon
🔸️1/2 cup pure maple syrup
🔸️2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
🔸️1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
🔸️1 teaspoon garlic powder
🔸️1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
🔸️Fresh thyme leaves, for garnish (optional)
👉Directions:
↪️Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
↪️In a skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels. Reserve 1 tablespoon of the bacon fat.
↪️Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
↪️In the same skillet, add olive oil and sear chicken on both sides until golden, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from heat.
↪️In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
↪️Place seared chicken in a baking dish. Pour maple glaze evenly over the chicken.
↪️Crumble crispy bacon over the top.
↪️Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
↪️Garnish with fresh thyme if desired. Serve with roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.
