๐Ÿฒ Hearty Beef Stew with Fluffy Dumplings ❤️

Nothing beats a rich, comforting beef stew when the weather starts to cool down. This cozy dish will warm you up all weekend long!


✅️ Ingredients 

➡️for the Stew:

◾️ 2 onions, chopped

◾️ 3 carrots, sliced

◾️ 3–4 potatoes, diced

◾️ 1 small rutabaga (or turnip), diced

◾️ 1 ½–2 lbs stewing beef or ground beef

◾️ 1 beef bouillon cube (like OXO)

◾️ Gravy mix or beef gravy granules

◾️ Optional add-ins: peas, celery, mushrooms, or any veggies you like


➡️ For the Dumplings:

◾️ ¾ cup self-rising flour

◾️ ¼ cup shredded suet (or cold grated butter if you can’t find suet)

◾️ Salt and pepper, to taste

๐Ÿ‘‰ Optional: Add ½ packet of sage and onion stuffing mix for extra flavor!


✅️ Directions:

1️⃣ Add all stew ingredients to a large pot or slow cooker.

2️⃣ Pour in enough beef broth or water to just cover everything.

3️⃣ Cook slowly for 4–6 hours, stirring now and then.

4️⃣ About 40 minutes before serving, place the dumplings on top, cover, and cook on medium heat until fluffy and cooked through.
