π₯π· Chipotle BBQ Ribs That Bring the Heat!
Sticky, smoky, and fall-off-the-bone tender — these ribs are a guaranteed hit at any BBQ.
Think juicy pork ribs rubbed in a bold spice blend, slow-cooked to tender perfection, then slathered in a smoky chipotle BBQ glaze and grilled until caramelized and finger-lickin’ good. Let’s make magic happen!
π What You’ll Need (Serves 4)
π For the Ribs:
1 rack baby back pork ribs (1.5–2 lbs / 700–900g)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder π§
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp chili powder πΆ️
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
π₯ For the Chipotle BBQ Sauce:
1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
1–2 chipotle peppers in adobo, finely chopped πΆ️
1 tbsp adobo sauce (from the chipotle can)
1 tbsp honey or brown sugar π―
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar π
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Optional: a squeeze of fresh lime juice π
π¨π³ How to Make Them:
1️⃣ Prep the Ribs
Remove the thin silver skin from the back of the ribs for extra tenderness.
Mix all dry spices and sugar in a small bowl.
Rub ribs with olive oil, then coat them generously with the spice blend.
Wrap tightly in foil and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for deep flavor).
2️⃣ Cook Low & Slow
Oven Method: Preheat to 300°F (150°C). Place foil-wrapped ribs on a tray and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours.
Slow Cooker Method: Cut ribs in half if needed. Cook on low for 6–7 hours.
3️⃣ Make the Magic Sauce
In a saucepan, stir together all the sauce ingredients.
Simmer on low for 5–10 minutes until thick, glossy, and irresistible.
Taste and adjust heat, sweetness, or tang to your liking.
4️⃣ Char It Up
Unwrap those tender ribs (careful — they’re delicate!).
Slather with chipotle BBQ sauce.
Grill: Cook over medium-high heat for 5–7 minutes per side, until sticky and slightly charred.
No grill? Broil in the oven for 3–5 minutes per side.
5️⃣ Time to Feast
Slice between the bones and serve hot with extra sauce.
Perfect sides? Try tangy coleslaw, grilled corn, baked beans, or fluffy cornbread.
π₯ Pro Tip:
Double the sauce and store leftovers — it makes an amazing dip, burger topping, or wing glaze!
