Juicy Chicken in Herb Cream Sauce

 



🍗 Chicken with Herb Cream Sauce, Mashed Potatoes & Glazed Carrots 🥔🥕


✨ A classic comfort dinner made elegant! Juicy chicken smothered in a velvety herb cream sauce, paired with fluffy mashed potatoes and buttery glazed carrots. A full meal that feels like restaurant-quality but is easy to make at home. 😍


🛒 Ingredients:

⭐ Chicken

🔹️4 chicken thighs or breasts (skin-on = more flavor!)

🔹️2 tbsp olive oil

🔹️1 tsp paprika

🔹️Salt & pepper


⭐ Herb Cream Sauce 🌿

🔹️2 tbsp butter

🔹️2 garlic cloves, minced

🔹️250 ml chicken broth

🔹️200 ml heavy cream

🔹️1 tsp Dijon mustard

🔹️1 tsp dried thyme

🔹️1 tsp parsley

🔹️1 tsp oregano


⭐ Mashed Potatoes 🥔

🔹️800 g potatoes

🔹️50 g butter

🔹️100 ml warm milk

🔹️Salt & pinch of nutmeg


⭐ Glazed Carrots 🥕

🔹️400 g baby carrots

🔹️1 tbsp butter

🔹️1 tsp honey or brown sugar

🔹️Salt & parsley


👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1️⃣ Cook the Chicken — Season with paprika, salt & pepper. Sear in olive oil until golden brown. Remove and set aside.


2️⃣ Make the Creamy Herb Sauce — In the same pan, melt butter, sauté garlic, then stir in broth, cream, mustard, and herbs. Simmer until slightly thickened. Return chicken, spoon sauce over, and cook until done.


3️⃣ Fluffy Mashed Potatoes — Boil potatoes until soft. Mash with butter, warm milk, salt, and nutmeg until silky.


4️⃣ Glazed Carrots — Steam carrots until tender. Toss in butter + honey for a glossy, sweet glaze.


5️⃣ Plate & Serve — Arrange mashed potatoes and carrots on a plate, top with chicken, and drizzle with creamy herb sauce. Garnish with parsley 🌿.
