Italian Pot Roast with Hearty Tomato Sauce



๐Ÿ…๐Ÿฅฉ Italian Pot Roast Slow Cooker


๐Ÿ”น️ Ingredients:

๐Ÿ‘‰ 3–4 lb beef chuck roast

๐Ÿ‘‰ 2 tbsp olive oil

๐Ÿ‘‰ 1 tsp salt

๐Ÿ‘‰ 1/2 tsp black pepper

๐Ÿ‘‰ 1 tsp garlic powder

๐Ÿ‘‰ 1 tsp Italian seasoning

๐Ÿ‘‰ 1 medium onion, sliced

๐Ÿ‘‰ 3 cloves garlic, minced

๐Ÿ‘‰ 2 carrots, cut into chunks

๐Ÿ‘‰ 2 cups crushed tomatoes

๐Ÿ‘‰ 1 cup beef broth

๐Ÿ‘‰ 1/4 cup tomato paste

๐Ÿ‘‰ 1 tsp dried basil

๐Ÿ‘‰ 1 tsp dried oregano

๐Ÿ‘‰ 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

๐Ÿ‘‰ Fresh parsley (for garnish)


๐Ÿ‘ฉ‍๐Ÿณ Directions:

◾️ Preheat: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

◾️ Season & sear: Rub roast with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Sear on all sides until browned (3–4 mins per side).

◾️ Load slow cooker: Place onion, garlic, and carrots in the bottom. Add seared roast on top.

◾️ Add sauce: Pour in crushed tomatoes, beef broth, tomato paste, basil, oregano, and red pepper flakes.

◾️ Cook: Cover and cook on Low 8–9 hrs or High 4–5 hrs.

◾️ Serve: Shred or slice roast and serve with rich tomato sauce over mashed potatoes, pasta, or polenta. Garnish with parsley ๐ŸŒฟ.
