If you’ve always wanted fresh, homemade bread without a bread machine—this recipe is for you! Soft, fluffy, and perfectly golden with a crusty top. Plus, no oven required (except for a quick broil at the end, if you like it extra crusty ๐).
๐ Ingredients:
◾️½ cup warm water
◾️2 cups warm milk
◾️2 Tbsp melted unsalted butter ๐ง
◾️1–3 Tbsp sugar (adjust for sweetness)
◾️3 Tbsp active dry yeast
◾️6 cups whole wheat flour (or 3 cups whole wheat + 3 cups all-purpose)
◾️2 tsp salt
◾️1 tsp baking powder

1️⃣ Activate Yeast
In a large bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
2️⃣ Prepare Wet Mix
Warm milk and butter in the microwave. Add to the yeast mixture.
3️⃣ Add Dry Ingredients
Gradually mix in flour, salt, and baking powder. Knead for about 10 minutes (mixer + hand).
4️⃣ Slow Cook
