Deliciously Fluffy Bacon and Cheese Bread



👉 Ingredients:

◾️3 cups self-raising flour

◾️2 cups Greek yogurt

◾️A pinch of salt and garlic powder (feel free to add your favorite seasonings too)


✅️Topping:

◾️Speck (or any smoked bacon)

◾️Finely chopped shallots

◾️3 kinds of cheese (I used cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan – but use what you love!)


👉Instructions:

↪️1. Mix the flour, yogurt, salt, and garlic powder in a bowl until it forms a soft dough.


↪️2. Spread the dough into a baking dish or tray.


↪️3. Sprinkle the top generously with the speck, shallots, and cheeses.


↪️4. Bake on low (or cook in a slow cooker on low) for 2.5 hours.


↪️5. Then finish in a hot oven for 15 minutes to crisp up the top.


👉The Result:

Golden, gooey, cheesy perfection — with a crispy top and soft, fluffy center.

🔸️1. Strain the yogurt a bit if it’s too runny — this keeps your dough from being too wet.

🔸️2. Slice the bacon/speck and shallots finely, so they cook evenly and don’t burn.

🔸️3. Play around with the cheeses — mix sharp and mild types for extra depth of flavor. Smoked cheese works great too!
