Flavor-Packed Italian Pot Roast for Family Dinners

🇮🇹 Italian Pot Roast (Slow Cooker)


✅️Ingredients:

◾️ 3 lbs chuck roast

◾️ 1 large onion, sliced

◾️ 3 carrots, cut into chunks

◾️ 3 celery stalks, chopped

◾️ 4 cloves garlic, minced

◾️ 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes

◾️ 1 cup beef broth

◾️ 2 tbsp tomato paste

◾️ 2 tsp Italian seasoning

◾️ 1 tsp salt

◾️ 1 tsp black pepper


✅️Instructions:

1️⃣ Place roast in the crockpot with onion, carrots, celery, and garlic.

2️⃣ Whisk together diced tomatoes, beef broth, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Pour over the roast.

3️⃣ Cover and cook on LOW for 8–9 hours.

4️⃣ Slice and serve with pasta, potatoes, or bread — fall-apart tender! 🍝🥔🍞


💡 Cooking Tips:

🔹 Sear the Roast First – Browning the meat in a skillet before adding it to the crockpot adds extra flavor.

🔹 Add Red Wine – Swap part of the beef broth for red wine to give the sauce a rich, Italian depth.

🔹 Thicken the Sauce – Mix 1 tbsp cornstarch with 2 tbsp water and stir in 30 mins before serving for a thicker gravy.
