Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: ~1 hour
Setting Time: Overnight
Servings: About 20 pieces
✅️ Ingredients:
◾️ 1 packet Maltesers
◾️ 2 × 200g milk chocolate blocks (roughly chopped)
◾️ 1 × 395g tin sweetened condensed milk
◾️ 1–2 shot glasses Baileys Irish Cream (I did two for the slow cooker and two for me π)
◾️ 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
πΉ️ Method:
1. π Prepare: Line a small baking tin with baking paper and set aside.
2. π Combine: Add all ingredients except the Maltesers and Baileys into the slow cooker.
3. π Cook: Turn to High and cook for about 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
4. π Check: When the mixture thickens and comes away from the spoon, turn off the slow cooker.
5. π Add Flavour: Stir in the Baileys and mix well.
6. π Set: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared tin.
7. π Decorate: Sprinkle or gently press the Maltesers over the top.
8. π Chill: Place in the fridge overnight to set completely.
π‘ 5 Tips for Perfect Fudge:
1. ✅️ Use good-quality chocolate — it makes a huge difference in texture and taste.
2. ✅️ Don’t overcook — once it thickens and pulls away from the spoon, it’s ready.
3. ✅️ Stir often — prevents burning or sticking on the edges.
4. ✅️ Cut cleanly — use a warm knife for smooth, even squares.
5. ✅️ Store smartly — keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week (if it lasts that long!). π
This Slow Cooker Malteser Baileys Fudge is the ultimate indulgent treat — creamy, chocolatey, and with a hint of Irish charm. π Perfect for gifting, sharing, or just enjoying with a drink while you “wait for it to set.” ππ«π₯
