๐ง๐ง๐ถ️๐๐✨ Cheesy Garlic Cajun Chicken Tortellini with Velveeta Cream
๐น️ Ingredients
For the Chicken:
◾️ 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts (bite-sized pieces)
◾️ 1½ tbsp Cajun seasoning
◾️ ½ tsp smoked paprika
◾️ 2 tbsp olive oil
◾️ Salt & pepper, to taste
For the Velveeta Garlic Cream Sauce:
◾️ 3 tbsp butter
◾️ 4 cloves garlic, minced
◾️ 1½ cups heavy cream
◾️ 8 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed
◾️ ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
◾️ 1 tsp Italian seasoning
◾️ ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
◾️ Salt & pepper, to taste
For the Pasta:
◾️ 12 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or refrigerated)
◾️ ½ cup reserved pasta water
Optional Garnish:
◾️ Fresh parsley, chopped
◾️ Extra Parmesan
◾️ Light sprinkle of Cajun seasoning
๐น️ Instructions
1️⃣ Cook the Tortellini
◾️ Boil in salted water until just tender (per package).
◾️ Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
2️⃣ Cook the Chicken
◾️ Season chicken with Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt & pepper.
◾️ Heat olive oil in skillet, cook 6–8 min until golden. Remove & keep warm.
3️⃣ Make the Velveeta Garlic Cream Sauce
◾️ Melt butter, sautรฉ garlic until fragrant.
◾️ Add heavy cream, bring to simmer.
◾️ Stir in Velveeta until smooth, then add Parmesan, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes.
◾️ Season with salt & pepper.
4️⃣ Combine & Finish
◾️ Add chicken + tortellini into sauce.
◾️ Toss well, add pasta water if needed for creaminess.
5️⃣ Serve
◾️ Plate hot, garnish with parsley, Parmesan, and a sprinkle of Cajun seasoning.
