๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ Savory One-Pan Honey Dijon Chicken Pasta with Crispy Bacon
๐น️ Ingredients:
Protein & Base:
◾️ 2 tbsp olive oil
◾️ 4 slices bacon, chopped
◾️ 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs (bite-sized pieces)
Seasoning:
◾️ Salt & pepper, to taste
◾️ 1 tsp garlic powder
◾️ ½ tsp smoked paprika
Sauce & Pasta:
◾️ 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
◾️ 1 tbsp honey
◾️ ½ cup chicken broth
◾️ 1½ cups heavy cream
◾️ 8 oz penne or fusilli pasta (uncooked)
Finish & Garnish:
◾️ ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
◾️ 2 cups baby spinach (optional)
◾️ Fresh parsley, chopped
๐น️ Directions
1️⃣ Cook the Bacon
◾️ Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
◾️ Add chopped bacon, cook until crispy, then remove and set aside (leave bacon fat in skillet).
2️⃣ Cook the Chicken
◾️ Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder & smoked paprika.
◾️ Add to skillet, sear until golden brown and cooked through. Remove & set aside.
3️⃣ Make the Sauce
◾️ Lower heat, stir in Dijon mustard + honey, scraping brown bits.
◾️ Pour in chicken broth + heavy cream, mix well.
◾️ Add uncooked pasta, bring to a gentle simmer.
4️⃣ Cook the Pasta
◾️ Cover and cook 10–12 min, stirring occasionally, until pasta is al dente & sauce thickens.
5️⃣ Combine & Finish
◾️ Return chicken + bacon to skillet.
◾️ Add Parmesan & spinach (if using), stir until spinach wilts and everything is coated.
6️⃣ Serve
◾️ Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
