✅️ Ingredients:
◾️ 1 large round Italian bread loaf (about 10 inches)
◾️ ¼ cup olive oil (for brushing)
◾️ 1 tsp dried oregano
◾️ 1 tsp dried basil
◾️ ¼ lb thinly sliced turkey ham
◾️ ¼ lb thinly sliced beef salami
◾️ ¼ lb thinly sliced mortadella
◾️ ¼ lb sliced provolone cheese
◾️ ¼ lb sliced mozzarella cheese
◾️ 1 cup olive salad (store-bought or homemade)
◾️ ¼ cup sliced pepperoncini peppers (optional)
✅️ Directions:
π 1. Prepare the Bread
Slice the Italian bread loaf in half horizontally.
π 2. Make the Herb Oil
Mix olive oil, oregano, and basil in a small bowl.
Brush both cut sides of the bread generously.
π 3. Layer the Ingredients
On the bottom half of the bread, layer turkey ham → beef salami → mortadella → provolone cheese → mozzarella cheese.
Spread olive salad evenly on top.
Add pepperoncini peppers if desired.
π 4. Assemble & Compress
Place the top half of bread over the filling.
Wrap tightly in plastic wrap.
Place a heavy object (like a cast-iron skillet) on top and refrigerate 2 hours or overnight.
