๐ฅ๐ฒ Old-Fashioned Amish Beef & Potato Casserole
A true farmhouse classic ❤️ Layers of tender potatoes, juicy ground beef, creamy sauce, and melted cheese—baked until golden and bubbling. Perfect for cozy dinners or when you just need some comfort food.
๐ Ingredients:
◾️1 lb ground beef
◾️1 small onion, diced
◾️4–5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
◾️1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
◾️1 cup milk
◾️1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
◾️Salt & pepper, to taste
◾️Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
๐ฉ๐ณ Instructions:
✅️1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
✅️2. In a skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain fat.
✅️3. Mix soup and milk in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
✅️4. In a greased 9x13" dish, layer half the potatoes, half the beef, half the soup mixture, and half the cheese. Repeat.
✅️5. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour, until potatoes are tender.
✅️6. Remove foil, bake 10 minutes more until cheese is golden.
✅️7. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
