🥩 Homemade Salisbury Steak with Mushroom Gravy
✅️ Ingredients:
➡️For the Steak Patties:
◾️ 1 lb ground beef
◾️ 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
◾️ 1 large egg
◾️ 1 small onion, finely chopped
◾️ 2 cloves garlic, minced
◾️ 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
◾️ 1 tsp dried parsley
◾️ Salt & black pepper to taste
➡️For the Mushroom Gravy:
◾️ 2 tbsp unsalted butter
◾️ 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
◾️ 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
◾️ 2 cups beef broth
◾️ 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
◾️ Salt & black pepper to taste
◾️ Fresh parsley for garnish
✅️ Directions:
👉 1. Prepare the Steak Patties
In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, dried parsley, salt & pepper.
Form into 4 oval patties.
👉 2. Cook the Patties
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook patties 4–5 min per side until browned & cooked through. Remove & set aside.
👉 3. Make the Mushroom Gravy
In the same skillet, melt butter & sauté mushrooms 4–5 min until browned.
Sprinkle in flour, stir well, and cook 1–2 min.
Gradually whisk in beef broth & Worcestershire sauce.
Simmer 5–7 min until thickened. Season with salt & pepper.
👉 4. Combine & Serve
◾️Return patties to skillet, spoon gravy over, and simmer 2–3 min more.
◾️Garnish with fresh parsley & serve hot with mashed potatoes or veggies.

◾️ Use 80/20 ground beef for juicy patties.
◾️ Caramelize onions before adding to patties for deeper flavor.
◾️ Add a splash of heavy cream to the gravy for extra richness.
