Irresistible Slow Cooker Beef Bourguignon

◾️ 1 kg beef chuck, cut into chunks

◾️ 200g mushrooms, sliced

◾️ 3 carrots, chopped

◾️ 1 onion, diced

◾️ 3 cloves garlic, minced

◾️ 2 tbsp tomato paste

◾️ 2 cups red wine (Burgundy or Pinot Noir)

◾️ 1 cup beef broth

◾️ 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

◾️ 2 tbsp butter

◾️ 2 tbsp flour (optional, for thickening)

◾️ 1 tsp salt

◾️ ½ tsp black pepper

◾️ 1 tsp thyme

◾️ 2 bay leaves

1️⃣ Sear the Beef – Melt butter in a pan, brown beef on all sides, then transfer to slow cooker.

2️⃣ Sautรฉ & Deglaze – Cook onion, garlic, and mushrooms. Stir in tomato paste, then pour in wine to deglaze.

3️⃣ Slow Cook – Add mixture to slow cooker with carrots, broth, Worcestershire, thyme, bay leaves, salt & pepper.

4️⃣ Low & Slow – Cover and cook on LOW 8 hrs or HIGH 4–5 hrs until beef is melt-in-your-mouth tender.

5️⃣ Optional – Stir flour slurry (2 tbsp flour + ¼ cup water) 30 min before serving for thicker sauce.
