✅️ Amish Pot Roast – A Sunday Favorite
✨ I’ve made this Amish classic three Sundays in a row — it’s officially become the family’s favorite tradition!
✅️ Ingredients:
◾️ 3–4 lbs beef chuck roast
◾️ 1 tbsp olive oil
◾️ 1 onion, sliced
◾️ 3 garlic cloves, minced
◾️ 2 cups beef broth
◾️ 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
◾️ 1 tsp salt
◾️ ½ tsp black pepper
◾️ 1 tsp dried thyme
◾️ 1 tsp dried rosemary
◾️ 3 carrots, cut into chunks
◾️ 3 potatoes, cut into chunks
✅️ Instructions:
➡️ Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Season the roast with salt & pepper, then sear on all sides until browned.
➡️ Add onion and garlic, cook until fragrant.
➡️ Stir in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme & rosemary.
➡️ Add carrots and potatoes around the roast.
➡️ Cover and simmer on low heat for 3–4 hours until the beef is fork-tender.
➡️ Serve hot with the tender veggies and rich broth.
